Greater Wayne Area Branch Awards Scholarships and Installs New Officers
A Total of $9,000 in Scholarships Awarded to Three Recipients

The Greater Wayne Area branch awarded $3,000 scholarships at a dinner on May 17 to three non-traditional students over the age of 25 pursuing Bachelor’s degrees at area colleges.
Tatiana Feldman is a student at Rutgers University majoring in Linguistics and Cognitive Science. Her most important career objective is to become a language researcher and advocate for linguistic diversity in her community.
Donnette Jones is currently studying for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Caldwell College. She is a single mother of three children. Her dream is to take care of others and be an example to her children to do the same in their field of choice.
Wafae Rafi is a resident of Paterson and a student at William Paterson University. She is pursuing her dream of becoming a teacher and is majoring in Elementary Education and Liberal Studies. Wafae is married and the mother of two children.

New officers for 2023-2024 were installed at the dinner, including Linda Nardone, president, Elaine Dolsky, vice president, Elaine Kirsh, treasurer and Lauren Coyle, secretary.
